l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Polk Audio Signa S3 vs Klipsch Cinema 400. The Polk Audio Signa S3 was rated 6.4, while the Klipsch Cinema 400 has a rating 4.6.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the Signa S3 via wireless, but Cinema 400 has wired connection type. Rate 4 out of 10 received the Polk Audio Signa S3 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 400 received 5 out of 10.
The Signa S3 can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Signa S3. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the Signa S3, so in the Cinema 400 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the Signa S3 at 5 out of 10, while the Cinema 400 was rated 8/10.
The manufacturer of the Signa S3 provides a device control application. The Polk Audio Signa S3 equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the Signa S3 or Cinema 400. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The Signa S3 was rated 4/10, while the Cinema 400 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
