l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Samsung HW-Q70T vs LG SNC4R. The Samsung HW-Q70T was rated 8.2, while the LG SNC4R has a rating 5.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q70T and power, volume down, volume up, function for the SNC4R.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q70T has 3.1.2 and SNC4R has 4.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 330 (overall) versus 420 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 7 out of 10 in our ranking.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The HW-Q70T can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the HW-Q70T. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HW-Q70T. Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q70T at 9 out of 10, while the SNC4R was rated 6/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Samsung HW-Q70T equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-Q70T may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HW-Q70T. The HW-Q70T can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HW-Q70T was rated 10/10, while the SNC4R received a mark of 5/10 for multichannel surround.
