I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SP7R vs Klipsch Cinema 600 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SP7R was rated 5, while the Klipsch Cinema 600 has a rating 4.8.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SP7R has 7.1 and Cinema 600 has 3.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 580 (overall) versus 600 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the SP7R via wireless, but Cinema 600 has wired connection type. Rate 8 out of 10 received the LG SP7R for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 600 received 6 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SP7R versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 600. As in the SP7R, so in the Cinema 600 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the SP7R at 7 out of 10, while the Cinema 600 was rated 8/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SP7R or Cinema 600. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The same score of 6/10 was put to the soundbars for multichannel surround support.
